I love learning and I don’t necessarily mean academically. You can learn so much through connecting with others and experiencing success, failure, doubt, celebration, confusion, creativity and new ideas.

Ooh I love diamonds and I love learning.
What do these two topics have to do with each other?
The lyrics above are from Shirley Bassey’s famous James Bond theme song. My original title of this blog was “Learning is Forever” and then I just started singing substituting “Learning for Diamonds” as follows:
“Learning is forever
Its all I need to please me
Books can stimulate and teach me
They won’t leave me in doubt
Whatever they’re about, they will please me”
Try finding the song on Youtube and then singing these new lyrics yourself. It’s rather pleasing and more creative than I usually am.
I just learned I could do this!
We also learn from challenges and I like to think of those like the difficult pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle had a frame, the basics of your life or business but the content is harder to fill in. Learning provides you with that content for your very own unique puzzle.
I have a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle which just had giraffes looking into the distance at sunset. The shades of brown, black and dark orange just merged into one another and I needed to look really closely at the pieces to see how they would fit together.
Often we need to look closely at the pieces of our own business or personal puzzle to see how these challenges are meant to teach us something about ourselves or others.
Diamonds are forever
Hold one up and then caress it
Touch it, stroke it and undress it
I can see every part
Nothing hides in the heart to hurt me
Or my version
Learning is forever
Hold a piece and then embrace it
Touch it, see it and then place it
Puzzle pieces can be seen
Nothing hides in the scene to halt me
